Writer of PC game ‘Crysis’ arrested
A real ‘crysis’ for sci-fi writer
Earlier in the week, Canadian sci-fi writer Peter watts was arrested at a US border crossing. He was arrested for assaulting a federal officer, and if found guilty, could receive a two year jail sentence. Watts has said in his defence that the US officers attempted to withhold his Miranda Rights, and beat him.
Watts has worked with Relic to produce the story for what was known as Homeworld 2, and he was been employed by Crytek to write part of the story for Crysis 2.
